The Baker Curb Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series team will field a second car for driver Scott Lagasse Jr. beginning at Daytona International Speedway next weekend, multiple sources told NNSracing.com on Wednesday.
The organization will field the No. 37 Ford for Lagasse, according to a well-placed source. The source could not be identified because the team has not made the official announcement.
Baker Curb was said to be holding off on making the announcement until hearing from a prospective sponsor. The deal could be made public this week.
Lagasse, according to a source, was in the Nashville, Tenn., area looking for a place to live. Baker Curb is headquartered in Nashville.
Another source said Jeff White, who was with the team as an engineer, will serve as Lagasse’s crew chief.
