Justin Allgaier fastest in first Nationwide practice at Texas Motor Speedway

FORT WORTH, Texas- Penske Racing's Justin Allgaier paced Thursday's NASCAR Nationwide Series practice at Texas Motor Speedway, turning a lap of 185.656 mph in the No. 12 Dodge.

Allgaier edged Baker Curb Racing's Greg Biffle, who went 185.300 in the No. 27 Ford. Raybestos Rookie of the Year candidate Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was third in Roush Fenway Racing's No. 6 Ford, working with crew chief Mike Kelley for the first time.

Braun Racing;s Brian Scott was fourth, with Joe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch fifth. Busch will be gunning for his fifth victory in a row at Texas in the O'Reilly 300, matching a series record held by Dale Earnhardt and Jack Ingram. Earnhardt won five in a row at Daytona, while Ingram did the same at South Boston Speedway.

The rest of the top 10 Thursday were Kevin Harvick, Mike Bliss, Brad Keselowski, Paul Menard and Landon Cassill.
