Press release: Baker Curb Racing signs Alex Kennedy for 2 races

NASHVILLE, Tenn., (October 28, 2010) - Baker Curb Racing announced today that they have signed 18-year old Alex Kennedy to a two-race deal. Kennedy will drive the team's No. 27 in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway on November 6th and the Wypall 200 at Phoenix International Raceway on November 13th.

Kennedy made his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut at Road America in June. He had a top-15 run going before getting caught up in a couple late accidents and had to settle for a 28th-place finish. He has made four Nationwide Series starts this season, registering a career-best 16th-place finish in the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International. The New Mexico native has also made two starts in the ARCA Racing Series this season, including a 19th-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway. Kennedy finished 11th in the Sunoco 150 at Dover International Raceway in his lone K&N Pro Series East start.

"I learned a lot about this series in my first four starts this season, and I'm looking forward to continuing to grow as a driver with more seat time. In 2009, Kennedy finished 10th in points in his first full-season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Series collecting one Top 5 and three Top 10's in eleven starts. Since beginning his racing career at the age of five, he has collected numerous local, state, regional and national championships, including the 2009 Road Course World Finals in the Pro Legends Division at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the 2005 World Road Course Young Lions championship for Legends Cars and the 2004 Silver State Cup Bandolero championship at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
