Ryan Truex

(EDITOR'S NOTE: NNSracing.com takes a look at the five drivers who are competing for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year Award. Today's driver: Ryan Truex.)
Driver: Ryan Truex
Date of birth: March 18, 1992
Team: Pastrana-Waltrip Racing
Crew chief: Jerry Baxter
Past racing accomplishments: Two-time K&N East Champion (2009, 2010)
Outlook for season: Despite being out of his car for a few races, Truex will make a comeback and take the rookie title, simply because he has the best equipment and is not part of a start-and-park team. While some weeks he is just a few spots ahead of his competition, there is always a guarantee he'll be in the race and he can easily make up the missed points. Also, as the season progresses, look for Truex to start finishing in the top 15, maybe even top 10.
