Will she or won't she? Danica Patrick still isn't sure about NASCAR debut

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – So will Danica Patrick make her NASCAR debut in next weekend’s DRIVE4COPD 300 Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway?

Patrick isn’t sure. Neither is her JR Motorsports crew chief, Tony Eury Jr.

"I don’t know. We haven’t made that decision yet," Patrick said after finishing sixth in the ARCA race Saturday night. "I have a lot to learn. We’ll have to decide by Monday."

Patrick said earlier this week the decision would likely be announced on Monday. Should she decide not to race, JRM teammate Kelly Bires would join team co-owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. as drivers in the season-opener at Daytona.

"I’ll call her tomorrow and see what she thinks," Eury Jr. said. "The cars are ready if that’s what she wants to do. If not, we’ll come down here with somebody else. But it’d be a real pleasure for her to do it."
