ABC/ESPN officials say the network's broadcast of the Scotts Turf Builder 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway earned a 1.6 rating, down from a 1.7 for the same race in 2009.
That's a 5.9 percent drop. The telecast averaged 2,286,794.
The Bristol event was the first Nationwide race this season to air on ABC, as the first three were on ESPN2.
Bristol was the second race this year to post a decline in ratings, with Daytona up and Las Vegas remaining the same.
