Matt Hasselbeck and Don 'Hollywood' Yates to appear at Bashas' Supermarkets 200

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Matt Hasselbeck – Seattle Seahawks quarterback and a spokesperson for EAS® sports nutrition products – has been selected as an Honorary Race Official for the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday, April 9, PIR President Bryan R. Sperber announced.

As an Honorary Race Official, Hasselbeck will participate in pre-race ceremonies for the first NASCAR Nationwide Series race of the 2010 Phoenix International Raceway season, the Bashas' Supermarkets 200. Hasselbeck will welcome the drivers of the NASCAR Nationwide Series to Phoenix International Raceway at the start/finish line.

A three-time Pro Bowler and a 2005 All-Pro selection, Hasselbeck has led the Seahawks to four division championships and five playoff appearances in his nine seasons with the team.

Also scheduled to appear at the Bashas' Supermarkets 200 will be Phoenix's own Don "Hollywood" Yates. Known for his role as "Wolf" on NBC's "American Gladiators" and as a championship bull fighter, Yates also enjoys a diverse career as a vocalist. The multi-faceted entertainer will perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" prior to the 200-lap event.
