Braun Racing's No. 38 Nationwide Series team docked 25 points

NNSracing.com

The Braun Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series team was penalized 25 points for an unapproved shock absorber discovered in postrace inspection following the Bubba Burger 250 at Richmond International Raceway last Friday.

Driver Kasey Kahne was also penalized 25 points, though he's not running the full season. The No. 38 team dropped four positions to 15th in the Nationwide owners standings.

Crew chief Stewart Cooper was fined $10,000.

The penalties are consistent with the ones handed down to Penske Racing and Brad Keselowski after NASCAR discovered an unapproved shock after the Talladega race.
