LEBANON, Tenn. – Republic Nashville recording artists Fast Ryde will perform during a post-race concert as part of the Dillon Transportation Concert Series immediately following the June 5, 2010 Federated Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, scheduled to take the green flag at 7 p.m. The concert is free to all June 5 race ticket holders.
Fast Ryde, featuring musicians James Harrison and Jody Stevens, will also sing the national anthem prior to the start of the 300-mile NASCAR Nationwide Series race.
The Fast Ryde duo embodies all that is forward-reaching in today’s country music. Their current single is "Top Down," a summertime-ready anthem that recalls all that is beloved about the season. In the song, Stevens and Harrison reference cruising, the youthful summer tradition of driving for the pure joy of it.
The duo began writing together in 2007 and the positive response they received for their collaborations was immediate, and at a level in which neither had experienced with their solo work. With the release of "Top Down," 2010 continues to be a busy year for Fast Ryde. Representatives of The New South, Fast Ryde is putting the finishing touches on their first album for Republic Nashville as well as squeezing in tour dates across the country this summer.
