MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 9, 2010) – Braun Racing is pleased to announce that California-based denim company, Iron Horse Jeans, will serve as primary sponsor of the No. 10 Toyota Camry this weekend at Kentucky Speedway with rookie driver Tayler Malsam.
Malsam, a Seattle, Wash-native, made his debut with Braun Racing in the No. 10 entry last weekend at Nashville, bringing home an impressive 11th-place finish in his first ever Nationwide Series start. The 21-year-old, who was 11th in the Camping World Truck Series point standings when he made the move up to the Nationwide Series, is looking forward to representing the company both on and off the track.
"I’m really excited about having Iron Horse Jeans as part of our team as we move into the summer stretch. Iron Horse Jeans look great, feel great, and really fit well!" said Malsam. "I can’t wait to get out on the track at Kentucky, and hopefully bring home a win for Iron Horse Jeans and Braun Racing."
This is the first venture into motorsports for the jeans brand, known for offering a denim alternative for designer jean styles at an affordable price and with superior features. Since the company’s launch in September 2009, it has sponsored numerous rodeo events and Arabian horse shows. Iron Horse President and Co-Founder, Mark Wentura, believes much like his jeans, NASCAR is a perfect fit for his company.
"We are thrilled to be part of NASCAR and Braun Racing. We believe it’s a perfect fit, western jeans and racing. We can’t wait to see the No. 10 Iron Horse Jeans car debut at Kentucky Speedway with Tayler Malsam behind the wheel!"
