Montreal's Nationwide Series TV ratings continues series' upward trend

ESPN says the live telecast on ESPN2 of the NASCAR Nationwide Series NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal garnered a 1.7 final national household coverage rating of 1.7, according to the Nielsen Company.

The 2010 rating was a 6 percent increase over the 1.6 ESPN2 earned last year. The telecast averaged 2,327,755 viewers.

ESPN says the Montreal race has seen ratings and viewership growth in all four years of its existence.

Six of the last nine Nationwide Series races have seen ratings growth over the corresponding event last year, while the other three were even.
