ESPN reports that its Feb. 26 telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series Bashas' Supermarkets 200 from Phoenix International Raceway earned a final national household coverage rating of 1.5 on ESPN2

That was 50 percent higher than the Phoenix race that was held in late April last year. The 2010 race was also held at night, while this year's event was during the day.

Saturday's telecast averaged 2,116,672 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company.

On the same weekend last year, the Nationwide Series had a 300-mile race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. That race aired on ESPN2 and earned a 1.7 rating.
