The O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Texas Motor Speedway last Friday earned a season-low rating.

ESPN2's live telecast earned a final national household coverage rating of 1.1, averaging 1,470,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company.

That was the lowest of the six Nationwide Series races in 2011.

The race marked the first time that Texas held its spring Nationwide Series race on a Friday night. With previous editions scheduled on Saturday afternoons, direct comparisons are not possible. Last April's Texas event was rained out and held on a Monday.

The Nationwide Series schedule included a Friday night race at Phoenix International Raceway in the comparable weekend for the past four years, and the Phoenix race earned a 1.0 rating in each of the four years.
