TV ratings for Montreal's Nationwide Series race down 11.8 percent

Nielsen television ratings for the NAPA Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal on Aug. 20 were down 11.8 percent from 2010, according to figures released Tuesday by ESPN.

The 2011 event, won by Marcos Ambrose, earned a 1.5 national household coverage rating on ESPN, according to the Nielsen Company. The race averaged 1,872,000 viewers.

Last year's race aired on ESPN2 and earned a 1.7 rating.

Six of the last eight Nationwide Series races have seen ratings decreases, with a seventh even with 2010.
