ESPN's telecast of the Kroger 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis earned a 1.5 household coverage rating, down 11.8 percent over the 2010 race.

ESPN said the 2009 race earned a 1.7 rating, the highest that event had earned since ESPN returned to live NASCAR telecasts since 2007.

Four of the last five races have seen lower ratings, though ESPN says ratings for Nationwide Series telecasts in 2011 are up 11 percent from this point last year across ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC.

The 2011 race at LOR averaged 2,059,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company.
